Public Events

A big part of what St. John does is assisting the community at public events. We attend over 325 events every year, ranging from sporting events to social gatherings. A few events we provide medical coverage for are:

Any event for which St. John coverage is desired is to be done in writing by an official of the event (contact us). They must give the time, date, and location of the event, as well as someone who will be the contact for the requesting organization.

The event is then evaluated to determine the resources required, and is written up on a duty sheet. Volunteers are then gathered together to man the event.

Sometimes, when large events are taking place, events cannot be manned the way organizers hope. It is a good thing to remember that St. John is a volunteer organization, and as such our ability to cover events is based on the resources that are available. It is always a priority to us that every event has sufficient coverage.
